As we progress towards Mainnet, we are introducing points on Lava - Phase Magma.
Anyone can now earn points for changing their blockchain connection to Lava in their wallets. The blockchains which users are initially eligible to earn points for are Ethereum, NEAR, Starknet, Evmos and Axelar.
You can access Magma with any wallet but users who connect through our Wallet Partners - Sender Wallet and Leap Wallet - get bonus points - use invite codes LEAP1 and KEPLR.
To get started earning points, all you need to do is replace the RPC URL in your wallet with the RPC URL endpoint provided in your Lava points account.
Community member - Anton C.Sailors has filmed these video tutorials for some wallets.
Rabby Wallet - Ethereum: https://youtu.be/Set_0TDH-VA?si=wzjWRZ4I_gnn2_PO
Metamask - Evmos: https://youtu.be/zSsNODVlvKA?si=VlM72U1ghByaol_c
Keplr - Axelar: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r2v9CYCkzyY
Leap - Axelar: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_VrXfgwqCu0
If you do not see a tutorial for a specific chain, written guides are available below.
More video guides will be produced soon.
Network Name = Lava Ethereum [whatever you want to name it]
New RPC URL = [the endpoint in your Lava dashboard]
Chain ID = 1 [Do not worry if it says the Chain ID is currently being used by Mainnet]
Currency Symbol = ETH
This example is for Rainbow, a popular wallet for Ethereum.
NOTE: We have paused points on Evmos temporarily due to a spike in spam and botting.
Let’s take an example of Leap Wallet for Axelar

Connect to blockchains through Lava to sart earning points - it's simple.
Every time you open or use your wallet e.g. by checking your balance, making transactions, interacting with dapps - your wallet is making an RPC call.
Let’s take an example of Sender Wallet on NEAR.
Argent and Braavos do not currently support Custom RPC endpoints. We will update the community when this is available.
Lava coordinates a decentralized network of RPC node runners which means there is no single point of failure. Your connection to the blockchain via Lava is much more resilient than other providers, who have previously experienced DNS hijacking and extensive downtime.
Changing your wallet RPC endpoint does not give Lava wallet or transaction signing permissions, and Lava cannot steal your funds by you simply changing your RPC endpoint. All funds remain on the blockchain - Lava is simple the means by which your wallet will retrieve the data to show your balance.
As always, please be careful when interacting with any web3 project and we invite you to explore all resources explaining how Lava works before taking part in Magma.
Mainnet is coming in early 2024, bringing us closer to Lava's vision of a scalable, modular data layer for web3. We welcome all feedback and participation to help battle-test the network.
Thank you for taking part in the Lava journey.
