What is Lava (short)?

Lava is a network of providers that lets blockchains permissionlessly bootstrap, scale and optimize the performance of infrastructure such as RPC.

How do blockchains and rollups integrate with Lava?

Many blockchains are launching but the major node providers only serve around 10 chains each. Blockchain developers can now quickly attract reliable RPC and API providers by creating incentive pools on Lava.

  • On Lava, chains and donors can permissionlessly create incentive pools consisting of any token, attracting infrastructure providers to serve data and receive transactions.
Tokens can include the native token of the blockchain, stablecoins or even memecoins.
  • Chains define the infrastructure services as specifications (”specs”). A list of existing specs on Lava can be found here.
  • Users and dapp developers make data requests and transactions via Lava. These requests are sent to providers based geolocation and historical quality of service scores
  • On Lava, chains and donors can permissionlessly create incentive pools consisting of any token, attracting infrastructure providers to serve data and receive transactions.Providers are rewarded via the incentive pools and via subscriptions, which dapp developers can purchase for higher rate-limit usage
